With the San Francisco 49ers at 3-0, sitting atop the NFC West heading into Week 4, they're going to need a few key players to overcome some injuries this weekend.

Following their Week 3 win, the 49ers knew they were going to have to deal with injuries to Mike Evans, Trent Williams, and Nick Bosa. All three are up in the air for Week 4, and the latest update brought some good and some bad news.

Cam Inman shared on Twitter/x that 49ers general manager John Lynch, during an appearance on KNBR radio, revealed updates on Bosa, Evans, and Williams. These updates were a mixed bag, as there's some good, some bad, and some shaky.

49ers get mixed bag update on three key injured stars

"49ers GM John Lynch injury updates via KNBR: Mike Evans: TBD. 'He is old school in his mindset and he doesn't want to miss... Mike will make every attempt and we'll see where that goes,'" Inman shared.

This update on Evans is some good news, as Lynch isn't too negative about the veteran WR's chances of suiting up this weekend.

While he might not be at 100% strength, this report from Lynch seems to indicate there's a real chance he's good to go for this week despite the injury.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the other two key injured stars heading into Week 4 for the 49ers.

"Bosa: Unlikely. 'Doing well ... Calf injuries are sometimes murky,' Trent [Williams]: May practice today," Inman shared.

The update on Evans revealed some optimism, even if not a lot, that the star WR could go. Bosa's update reveals his odds of suiting up are not looking likely.

Williams' injury update is probably the most encouraging of the bunch, even though it's the most open-ended. He could practice on Thursday, which is a good sign he could suit up in Week 4 for the 49ers.

Of these three injury updates, the Bosa one is the most concerning. There's some uncertainty still with Evans' injury, though there's enough optimism that seeing him play would not be a surprise. Williams' update is a good sign for the future Hall of Famer.
