The San Francisco 49ers went up north and beat the Seattle Seahawks in Week 5 in a massive victory for the now 5-0 49ers. One of the big reasons why they came away with the win was thanks to wide receiver Mike Evans.

He was incredible in this game, and the 49ers wouldn't have won without him. But he did more than just help the 49ers; he gave fans a new classic troll job by checking the jersey of Seahawks CB Trevon Diggs. It went viral instantly, and Evans didn't even mean to do it.

KNBR shared Evans' press conference after the game, where he revealed the real story behind the viral interaction. Apparently, he truly did not know it was Diggs, and he was legitimately surprised to see it was him, making this trolling all the more iconic.

"I was blocking him until the whistle, and then he says something, like I'm doing extra, or something like that, and I didn't know that was him at first, because I played against him a few times and we've always been cool, he was a good player," Evans said. "I honestly didn't know it was him, cause in the helmet, it's hard to tell sometimes, and you know, we were just talking trash, and I think I pushed him, and then I go, 'Who are you?' and then I look to make sure, and I'm like, 'Oh, it's f------ Diggs.'"

The 49ers wide receiver didn't realize it was Diggs he was trash-talking and going up against, and when he checked the back of the jersey, an all-time classic moment was born.

Diggs has bounced around the league recently, being cut by the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers last season before now joining the Seahawks as some cornerback depth.

It isn't a total surprise that Evans wasn't aware it was Diggs on the other side of the ball. But whether his jersey check was done out of legitimate inquiry or as a clever troll, it's made for an all-time hilarious moment in this rivalry.

Evans told reporters after the game that he really didn't recognize Diggs, and his decision to check his jersey and his reaction afterwards were done out of genuine curiosity.

Diggs obviously took exception to it, as he shoved Evans away after he checked his jersey. But the broadcast caught the exchange, and now it's a classic moment from this Seahawks vs. 49ers rivalry that will be replayed for many years to come.
