Every woman is different. I know someone who knew she wanted to be a mother since she was four years old. I know someone who tied her tubes because she didn't think she'd be able to handle being a parent and believed that was the most responsible decision for her. I know someone who thought she didn't want kids until her siblings had children and she met the love of her life. And I know someone who always assumed she'd eventually have kids, only to get older and wonder why that desire never came, ultimately changing her mind. Everyone's journey is sooooo different, and there is no right or wrong answer when it comes to having (or not having) a baby.

So when TikTok user @dara.diary asked her followers to share the real reasons they don't want to have kids, I knew I had to share some of their responses. The truth is, there is no right or wrong answer. Simply not wanting them is reason enough. But some people do have specific reasons for making that choice. If you're struggling with whether you want to have kids, it can help to hear from other women and learn from their experiences as you make that deeply personal decision.
