This post discusses weight and body image.
The clip in question — which aired on Kourtney and Kim Take Miami in 2013, three months after Kourtney gave birth to her second child — sees Scott commenting on his then-girlfriend’s post-pregnancy weight.

After Kourtney weighed herself, Scott asked: “Do you know what you’re supposed to weigh for your average height?”

Kourtney, who is roughly 5 ft tall, replied, “105.” Scott then asked how much she weighed when he first met her, to which she guessed, “95.”

Scott replied, “I feel like 93 is the dream.”

Kourtney understandably looked super unimpressed, while Kim simply laughed and asked him, “93 is your dream?”

Kourtney then said, “He is so disgusting,” before adding to Scott, “Actually, when I first met you, I was probably more like 100.”

Scott replied, “Yo, your body was bangin’ when I first saw you on the beach with that little ass,” while Kourt remained totally blank-faced.

Kim then smiled and asked her, “How do you feel when he’s like, ‘I want you at like 95 lbs?’” Kourtney replied, “It doesn’t bother me because I have to do what’s best for me. I can’t, like, compare myself to supermodels.”

Later in the episode, Scott more brazenly urged Kourtney to lose weight, even mentioning how she had coped after the birth of their first child, Mason. “Last time, you definitely tried to watch what you were eating after you had Mason,” he said.

“Yeah, last time around I went overboard,” Kourtney replied, to which Scott scoffed, “At least you were losing weight.”

When Kourtney explained that she was trying to lose weight “the healthy way,” Scott responded: “Do it the healthy way, just do it faster.”
Kourtney was understandably reduced to tears by the exchange, while Scott faced immense backlash online when the episode aired. In response, he tweeted, “Never realized how upset people get when a person makes a comment about weight,” before later adding: “P.s anyone who has to much to say probably had to much to eat. #fatasses.”

Footage of these moments resurfaced on X this week amid long-running conversations around Kourtney’s recent distance from the rest of the KarJenner family, which you can read more about here and here.

While several people rightfully called out Scott’s “horrible” remarks, many fans were also appalled at Kim’s reaction to the entire thing. “Kim was here gigging at Scott's comments and asking Kourtney how she feels when he makes those remarks GIRL STFU,” one popular X post read.

“That's horrible to say to anyone after giving birth. Then have your own sister thinking that's funny or something. Horrible,” someone else wrote. “Omg that’s actually so weird of him and Kim should’ve defended her,” another person agreed.

“She looked so pleased as he was talking to her sister that way,” one more person wrote of Kim’s reaction.
