As winners of six consecutive games, the Arizona Diamondbacks are making one final postseason push.
The NL West club sits just one game behind the Philadelphia Phillies for the third and final Wild Card spot.
Arizona made a notable roster move on Saturday morning, designating outfielder Jesus Sanchez for assignment, per MLB.com's Steve Gilbert.
The D-Backs claimed Sanchez off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays on September 14.
The seven-year veteran had two hits with one walk and five strikeouts in 16 plate appearances with Arizona.
Arizona claimed Sanchez to help with its offensive struggles against right-handed pitching, but he provided little to no value in his short stint with the club.
In 99 games with the Blue Jays, the left-handed swinger hit .260/.318/.416 with eight home runs and a .734 OPS.

Sanchez is not a strong defensive outfielder. He had -8 outs above average at the corner outfield spots.
Assumingly, another team will not pick him up for the final few days of the regular season.
In all likelihood, he will soon enter free agency in hopes of landing a Major League deal this offseason.
