The book, which was written over five years, features several interviews with Kim Kardashian herself, lifting the lid on her childhood, parenting, and past relationships, among other things.

1. One of the most candid topics discussed across the biography is Kim’s six-year marriage to Kanye “Ye” West, which she filed to end in 2021. (The divorce was finalized in 2022 following a tumultuous legal battle.) At one point, Kim recalls the moment Ye gifted her a second engagement ring in 2016, which had the word “Adidas” engraved — something that author Van Meter described as “the least romantic gesture imaginable.” Kim remembers wearing both of her flashy engagement rings to a Ye concert, later sharing a video someone had captured of her flaunting the huge diamonds. Then, Ye purportedly warned Kim, “Don’t ever do that again — you’re just looking to get robbed. … I’m flashy, but that’s crazy even for me.”

2. This was apparently months before Kim was actually robbed at gunpoint in Paris — a traumatic event that she now reveals came after multiple other break-ins. On one occasion, Van Meter writes that a group of young boys broke into Kim’s Los Angeles home to swim in her pool. Separately, after she returned to her house in Bel Air following the Paris robbery, Kim says she learned that the property had been burgled, with her designer bags and watches gone. “It was crazy how that happened at the same time — my bags were taken, my watches were taken. I came home and everything was gone. It was this feeling of, like, I couldn't win. The universe didn't want me to have any material things,” Kim says in the book.

3. Ye wasn’t the only person to warn Kim about being “flashy”; her older sister, Kourtney Kardashian, had purportedly urged her to stop posting her whereabouts online.

4. Another traumatic event that occurred in Kim’s life took place during her and Ye’s 2018 trip to Uganda, when a Keeping Up With the Kardashians producer says the couple was held at gunpoint. Describing the moment as “the point of no return” for the pair, Van Meter writes, “They were shooting at a remote location in Uganda when Kanye became paranoid and agitated.”

“He basically got the local police to believe that there were people trying to drug him and so they came and they had guns out. He had them raid everybody’s rooms,” says KUWTK executive producer Farnaz Farjam, who spoke with Van Meter.
Van Meter writes that “one of the policemen had a gun to Kim’s head” during the “raid,” with Farnaz adding that the star “ended up having to get a private jet and get my crew out of there.” The author added that Farnaz “forgave Kanye for the Africa fiasco ‘because he lives with bipolar disorder and he was in a manic place.’” (Ye hasn't addressed these allegations.)
5. As mentioned, Kim filed to end her and Ye’s marriage in February 2021 — and in the biography, it is revealed that she “ghosted” him for a year while focusing on raising their children. “She was really grappling with the nightmare and taking care of her kids,” Van Meter says.
6. Kim actually opens up about co-parenting with Ye, a subject that she has long been candid about. Admitting that she worries about him “all the time,” Kim told Van Meter, “That’s the father of my kids, I’ll never not worry about him. And that’s a big burden of having kids with someone who you don’t necessarily get along with. My kids would never know that.”

Adding that she tries to “forget about all the negative things that happened,” Kim says, “It’s been pretty smooth for a while. I guess because we don’t talk that much. But when we see each other, we give each other a hug.”
7. As for how she communicates with Ye, Kim revealed that she often gets in touch with him through his wife, Bianca Censori, whom he wed in late 2022 — just a month after his and Kim’s divorce was finalized. “I’ll communicate through his wife. Or through his friend, who is also his manager,” Kim says. “It is challenging co-parenting with someone who comes by every few months, but I’m always like, ‘Oh, Dad’s traveling.’ I still make up stories and protect them because I want them to think their dad is the greatest.”

8. Another way that Kim says she protects her kids when it comes to their perception of their dad is by activating what she called a “lockdown” mode in the house whenever negative stories about him are circulating in the press. “My whole household knows what a ‘lockdown’ means if I text it. Like, ‘We’re on lockdown.’ No TVs, just movies,” she says. “No radio, just plug in a phone for music in the car. Not even, like, Sirius XM, because they talk about current events in real time. It’s like, ’They don’t have to be a party to this.'”
9. Finally, away from Ye and parenting, Kim’s biography details anecdotes about her immediate family — including her mom Kris Jenner’s “extraordinarily sloppy” past affair with a man reportedly in his 20s, which ultimately ended her marriage to Kim’s dad, Robert Kardashian Sr. (Kris detailed the affair in her own memoir, Kris Jenner... and All Things Kardashian, back in 2011.)

“We knew my mom was dating, because we would see it. She introduced us to her boyfriend. He was 10 years younger. He was kind of like a playboy,” Kim told Van Meter. Last week, the author told the Hollywood Reporter that Kris allegedly “flipped out” when she learned that her past affair was being discussed in the book.
