Jalen Brunson 'Law & Order: SVU' appearance
After a September announcement that Brunson would be appearing on an episode of "Law & Order: SVU," a new trailer shed some light on his role.
Brunson is set to play a detective, Detective Madison, in an episode set to air on Thursday, Nov. 5. While Brunson's appearance in the trailer is brief, he is seen speaking to Hargitay's character. The two already have a connection off the screen, as Hargitay is frequently seen in courtside seats at Knicks games.

— DiscussingFilm (@DiscussingFilm) October 30, 2026Brunson might be making a cameo appearance, but the trailer confirms he isn't just appearing as himself. The Knicks star doesn't have acting experience, though he certainly has experience in front of cameras and dove into the world of non-sports entertainment on "Saturday Night Live" in September.
"Law & Order" has seen basketball-centric cameos before, as ESPN host Stephen A. Smith made an appearance on the original show in 2025.
