Leo Chenal injury update: Latest news on Commanders LB's status in Week 3 game

The Washington Commanders have a major injury concern with linebacker Leo Chenal in the Week 3 game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Chenal got injured in the second quarter and remained down on the field after the play. What's more troubling is the cart had to be brought out for him.

UPDATE: NBC Sports' JP Finlay reported that Chenal "moved his arms and legs" as he was being taken off, so that's a great early sign for his well-being.

"Crowd chants Leo as Chenal gets carted off. He moved his arms and legs," Finlay wrote.

We're still waiting for an official update from the team.

END OF UPDATE

As previously stated, the cart was brought out for Chenal, who was first loaded onto a back board. His exact injury isn't known as of this writing.

We'll update this page once more information is known.

Here's the scene on the field as Chenal was being loaded onto the cart.
