Devin Booker is now one of the longest-tenured active players, just behind the Golden State Warriors duo of Stephen Curry and Draymond Green and Philadelphia 76ers cornerstone Joel Embiid.
That is a special distinction for any player because it shows that Booker is fiercely loyal to the Phoenix Suns. Unfortunately, that has not resulted in success because after making the 2021 NBA Finals, the Suns have struggled.
Paul Pierce feels for Devin Booker, who has remained loyal to Phoenix
From 1998 to 2013, Paul Pierce was extremely loyal to the Boston Celtics. He was rewarded for that loyalty with a championship in 2008 and contender status for an extended period.
Booker has an NBA Finals run to his name with the Suns, but it was an unfortunate defeat after going up 2-0 against the Milwaukee Bucks. Since then, the Suns have made some big swings, but they have failed to succeed.

The Suns have counted on Booker over the years, and he has stayed loyal to the franchise. He seems intent on spending his entire career in Phoenix, but many people are calling on the Suns to reward that loyalty.
"What I used to get frustrated over when I was the foundation for the Boston Celtics, they kept bringing in new pieces... They move pieces, and he gets frustrated. Mentally, you just gotta stick with it," Pierce said about Booker in an interview with AZ Central's Dana Scott.
Like many NBA fans, Pierce wants Booker to get some recognition. Winning is the easiest way to do so, and if the Suns can build another good team around Booker, they could surprise the NBA world.
