Raptors predicted to trade for Bucks' $120M veteran sharpshooter to pair with Kawhi Leonard

The Toronto Raptors are one of the more interesting teams to watch this season, as they have plenty of talent ready to make an impact. However, the last few seasons have not gone as well as the organization had hoped.

There is plenty of excitement in Toronto after the team made a major move this offseason, trading for two-time NBA champion Kawhi Leonard.

“The trade sending Kawhi Leonard from the LA Clippers to Toronto has been made official after a monthslong delay due to the NBA's investigation into the Clippers for salary cap circumvention. The teams initially agreed to the deal on June 30, but it was paused while the league investigated allegations the Clippers violated salary cap rules in signing Leonard as a free agent," ESPN's Shams Charania wrote.

Unfortunately for Leonard, he will be sidelined with a knee injury for potentially the next month.

“Toronto Raptors star Kawhi Leonard (knee) is expected to be sidelined for at least 3-4 weeks, sources tell me," NBA insider Chris Haynes posted.

However, there is a belief that acquiring Leonard won't be the only major move the Raptors make this season. CBS Sports' Sam Quinn believes Toronto could also pursue a trade for Milwaukee Bucks guard Tyler Herro.

“He was more of a casualty of the mutual interest between Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Heat than a genuine Bucks trade target. As a native of Wisconsin, he might help the Bucks sell some tickets, but they're in a full rebuild and already have a million shooting guards. If someone will give up a real asset for him, the Bucks should take it. Toronto could use more shooting in the backcourt as well,” Quinn wrote.

This would be a strong addition for the Raptors, as Herro would bring valuable experience to the roster after making a Finals appearance during his time with the Miami Heat. Adding another shooter to the lineup certainly wouldn't hurt.

Herro is currently playing on a $120 million deal with the Bucks. The veteran is a reliable shooter who can space the floor when Leonard or Scottie Barnes draws extra defensive attention. Adding that kind of shooting would give Toronto another valuable offensive option and could help the team in a number of ways.
