Maxx Crosby trade talk is happening again, and while a lot of the focus has been on the Los Angeles Rams having been interested in snagging Crosby, there are other teams that also obviously expressed interest during the offseason. The Seattle Seahawks were one of those franchises.
During the offseason, there were certainly rumors about the Seahawks wanting to bring Crosby into their lineup, and Dan Viens of Locked On Seahawks remembers that. Viens is reflecting on the team's interest and says they could still want Crosby to come to Seattle.
Seahawks Could Still Be Interested in Maxx Crosby
On Sunday, Ian Rapoport of ESPN released a feature about Crosby's trade status. In it, he mentions the Rams as the main team that was interested in him after the Baltimore Ravens deal fell through.
But, Viens notes that the Seahawks were interested and could still want Crosby at the right timing and if he's performing well.
"The interesting thing about this piece is there's no mention of the Seahawks," he says in a post on X on Sunday. "But yes, they absolutely were one of the 'other teams' who would have also inquired at that time - just as they have several times over the last year or more."
From there, he says that "depending on what kind of start the Raiders get off to this year under our old friend Klint Kubiak, those inquiries may resurface again before the trade deadline."
So, yes, don't think the idea of Crosby joining the Seahawks is all that crazy. He wants to win, and one way to do that is by joining a team that just won the championship. So, there are reasons both sides could be interested in an arrangement. Now, it's about whether Crosby performs as well as he did in 2025, or better, because that's what could really get the Seahawks and any other team biting.
