The Seattle Seahawks are 2-1 on the regular season. While their Week 3 loss to the Washington Commanders was frustrating, the Seahawks have a lot of things going their way.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba is a clear superstar, and their defense is still one of the best in the NFL. But if there was one issue with this team through three weeks, it would be the running game.
Jadarian Price, Emmanuel Wilson, and George Holani have been underwhelming. Fortunately, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Seahawks have made a roster move with Zach Charbonnet that's some huge news for Seattle's run game.
Seahawks get huge Zach Charbonnet news amid questionable run game
"The Seahawks have designated RB Zach Charbonnet to return to practice," Rapoport reported Thursday morning.
This is some massive news for the Seahawks, as getting Charbonnet back in the fold would be huge for this offense.
Price, Wilson, and Holani have not been nearly good enough to start the season. It's clear the Seahawks need Charbonnet back and involved in the offense.
While he's coming off an ACL injury he sustained late last season and is very much going to be up in the air when he does come back, he does provide more upside than all the current Seahawks running backs.
Price, the first-rounder, was supposed to provide some juice for the Seahawks out of the backfield, but so far, it's not been very good for Price.

He's lost two fumbles this season, and has ran for a total of 119 yards on 28 touches this season in three games played. On seven targets, he's made just four receptions for a total of 21 yards.
Wilson ran for 91 yards in Week 2, but overall, he and Holani, along with Price, have been very underwhelming for the Seahawks this season.
Combined with Kenneth Walker III going off for the Kansas City Chiefs, this running game badly needs to improve.
Charbonnet could provide that, as his upside as a rusher is high enough that there's reason to believe that, even coming off a serious injury, he can be a positive force for the running game.
