Oops, he did it again, and it's a good thing. Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson led this team to its second win in a row in Week 3, edging out the Carolina Panthers, 21-18, and backup quarterback Shedeur Sanders was there to witness the whole thing.
Now, remember that Watson was booed by his own fans just a few weeks ago during the team's preseason. He had a much better reception from the Browns fans this time around, and it's largely because, well, he's winning.
So, what does Sanders think of how Watson is going on the field? People like to think there's drama or jealousy involved, but Sanders' postgame actions tell a different story.
Shedeur Sanders shows kindness with Deshaun Watson
They say actions speak louder than words. Well, after the Browns' win over the Panthers, Sanders walked up to Watson and was actually one of the first teammates to hug him and congratulate him on the win, as caught on camera and shared by a fan.
"Shedeur Sanders embraced Deshaun Watson after his game winning drive," the fan said on X. "And they said he's a selfish arrogant teammate."
Sanders is behind Watson, so he won't take the field unless Watson gets injured or something changes in the quarterback hierarchy. But he's still showing his loyal support for Watson and the Browns, and that says a lot.
The fans also welcomed Watson. According to Ben Axelrod of Front Office Sports, "Let's go Watson" was heard in the Browns' stadium amid that game. It's incredible to see what a difference a few weeks makes in Cleveland and a pair of back-to-back wins.
