If you didn’t know, Tom started as a model before getting his big acting break in Smallville in 2001, where he was cast as Clark Kent, aka Superman.

Other notable acting credits on his resumé include the TV series Lucifer and the Cheaper By The Dozen movie franchise:

Now 49 years old, the star was in New York City for Comic Con this past weekend when he unknowingly exposed himself to his 2.3 million Instagram followers.

Taking a photo from his hotel window, Tom wrote: “Hello, NYCC,” seemingly unaware that his nude reflection was visible in the window. According to Just Jared, the photo was live on Tom’s story for around 10 hours before it was deleted, but social media users still shared screenshots of the NSFW photo — and it quickly went viral.

Tom did not comment on what had happened when he deleted the pic, nor did he mention it at his scheduled Comic Con appearance afterward.

However, on Sunday, he finally acknowledged the mishap as he shared a lighthearted message of support from his former costar Michael Rosenbaum.

In his pic, Michael recreated Tom’s hotel window photo, albeit fully clothed. He wrote over the pic: “Just looking after my boy. @tomwelling @newyorkcomiccon,” and — most notably — held a sign that read: “Perverts” in front of his crotch.

Tom reposted the photo to his own Instagram account without further comment, but hopefully this means that he is able to see the funny side!
