Mexico look to embark on a new World Cup cycle as El Tri take on South American giants Colombia in Baltimore on Saturday evening to begin the fall 2026 international window.

Head coach Javier Aguirre, who led the team to a Round of 16 spot in the World Cup this past summer, has departed, and is replaced by national team legend Rafa Marquez, who will make his debut as boss in this match after being elevated as Aguirre's successor from his position as assistant.

With Marquez in charge, Hirving "Chucky" Lozano is back in the Mexico squad. Since being frozen out of the squad in early 2024, Lozano was brought back in for a few games in late 2025, but was then ejected once again for the lead-up to the World Cup this past fall.

Colombia, ranked 11th in the world, will be without James Rodriguez who announced his international retirement in the aftermath of the World Cup.

The Sporting News looks at the key details ahead of this game, including how to watch the match, kickoff times and the weekly schedule.
