Women, What's The Worst Experience You've Had With A Man Hitting On You At The Gym?

2 weeks ago 20

As women, we deserve to feel comfortable doing the things we love, whether that's running a marathon, swimming laps, or simply showing up and getting a workout in. But sometimes, it feels like we can't even live in peace without someone making it weird...

Recently, Saturday Night Live faced backlash after comedian Shane Gillis used part of his monologue to joke about women's workout clothes and bodies at the gym. He said, "I haven't been to the gym in so long. I didn't know women just dressed like whores now. Look, I'm sorry, there's no other way to describe… Have you seen it? I've seen it. The shorts. Have you seen the shorts? Those neon…they're, like, artificial bait colored. And the wrinkles, the wrinkles go, like, around the cheeks and all combined at the butthole… And don't look. You're not allowed to look. For real, don't look because they are filming. I'm in the background of, like, 10 TikToks right now."

Needless to say, the reception was far from positive. So it got me thinking about all the times women have dealt with unwanted attention while working out at the gym. Maybe a guy interrupted your set to offer unsolicited advice. Maybe someone kept creepily staring at you or asked for your number when you just wanted to be left alone. Whatever happened, we want to hear your stories.
